Haseeb ‘dogishead’ Qureshi’s blog post concerning the Girah Scandal has apparently failed to clear things up, as he had originally intended; instead, it actually threw oil on the fire. Forum members became even more suspicious and sceptic after it went public and many players will refuse to believe his story. In fact, several players suspect him to be behind the whole affair.

‘Boywonder’ also stated that he had made a series of posts a couple of years before that were inspired by ‘dogishead’s’ “absolute ridiculous, disrespectful and pathetic coaching advert” in which he asked for $500 for one hour of coaching he gave while training on his exercise bike, not paying attention to his trainees. He also wrote that he could not imagine a man like that to be so generous as to patronize his friends, let alone some Portuguese kid he has never met in person.
“Also, I really dislike the fact that he keeps grouping himself and Jungleman, Sauce etc in every sentence, as if to say that he is without any blame if the group as a whole is without any blame. Your level of involvement, financial situation, history etc seems to be on a whole other level compared to these other guys, so even if you are innocent of absolutely everything do them a favour and keep their name out of your defence of yourself,” Eliass added.
Online pro Dan ‘King Dan’ Smith also suspects that ‘dogishead’ is involved: “Before turning 18, Haseeb played online as ipokeder. He had a reputation as someone who always cried about running bad and had massive tilt issues. After turning 18, he began playing as dogishead on pokerstars (and created a dog is head 2p2 account). Dogishead gathered a reputation as a very strong player and someone with a good mind for the game. I don't remember how it came out that he had a second online identity.
In early 2010, dogishead blogs about losing a ton of money at 100/200 bc his computer was hacked... Dogishead takes an extended break from poker. He doesn't update his cardrunners blog until july 2010. Sometime along the line, Girah emerges on the scene and dogishead acts as his agent/mentor. Rapidly moves up, and starts crushing. I've seen a handful of posts like these:

Pure speculation, but I imagine girah was a midstakes player who shared accounts with dogishead/jungleman,” Smith writes.
Although Smith mentions Jungleman as well, he considers this to be Qureshi’s project. That being said, he does not reject the possibility of Jungleman also playing Girah’s account a couple of times.
2p2 forum member ‘whatsit’ wrote the following: “There's no way someone makes ~$1.8M, loses or spends a bunch, runs bad or plays bad and then on the eve of them moving in with 2 top poker players, one being the #1 HU NL player in the world, who is both coaching and backing them, they suddenly just randomly engage in a scam to steal 30K. He was never a millionaire. You are a sociopath. I hope Jungleman sees you for the liar you are and cuts all ties from you. Thanks for damaging his reputation...”
‘Whatsit’ also referred to Macedo’s lack of funds and knowledge for high stakes action and he also assumes that it was actually ‘dogishead’ who played his account: “Haseeb didn't have a Merge account so he had to used Girah's? Girah didn't have an iPoker account so he had to use Haseeb's? He is basically acting as Girah's mentor and agent, but he doesn't know about the all important Bluff Poker Challenge? Lies. »Oh, and anyone who's saying that I was trying to "muddy Sauce" - shut the **** up. - Haseeb« This is bull**** parsing. He 100% threw Sauce under the bus to diminish the effect on him and JM.”
Although the opinions mentioned above are those of the individuals expressing them alone, there are plenty other posts and threads the authors of which say the same. The fact that light is constantly being shed on more and more of his lies does not help ‘dogishead’ either. For instance, he stated after the scam went public that he had never posted on 2p2 in Girah’s name. As it turned out, forum moderators looked into it and they found this was simply not true, as he actually did just that on several occasions. Qureshi then revoked his statement and said that he did indeed write in Macedo’s name, only he forgot...
Since that, CardRunners have also parted ways with ‘dogishead’, thanking him for his efforts in the team. The reason behind this was that he basically openly acknowledged his participation in multi-accounting when playing Girah’s account at the time of the Bluff Challenge.
As events unfold, we will keep you posted.
